Community Outreach

We work hard each year at Rose & Dove to ensure that as our business grows so does our generosity. In 2005, our retail store first opened. Since then we have been committed to supporting the youth in the area through local non-profit organizations that offer hope and opportunity for those in our surrounding community. During the year we sponsor and plan various events with the organizations listed below. Please visit their websites to learn more and continue to visit our website to learn of upcoming events as we give back to the local community.

Here are just a few of the local non-profits in our area that we support on an annual basis:

Since 1892, the YWCA has been a solid community presence in the Merrimack Valley.  Offering programs at little or no-cost, they strive to help the under-served overcome current-day challenges of poverty, violence, illiteracy, homelessness and inaccessibility to health services by providing women’s health and housing services, affordable child care, domestic violence & sexual assault prevention programs and safe after-school enrichment programs.

They YWCA recognizes that your charitable giving dollars may be limited this year, but rest assured that as an efficiently run non-profit, they spend 88 cents out of every $1 donated to help the over 14,700 people they serve annually!

Esperanza Academy School of Hope is located in Lawrence, MA and provides a quality education in the Episcopal tradition, welcoming girls of diverse faiths, races and cultures.  Despite daunting statistics facing the young people of the city of Lawrence, including a 41% high school graduation rate, the highest early pregnancy rate in the state, and unfathomable poverty levels, Esperanza girls are thriving. The 11 hour days and 11 month school years are working; their girls are challenged to realize their portential and growing into confident, competent, connected individuals.

Esperanza Academy, School of Hope, is a tuition-free school that creates an enriched environment fostering individual success and community commitment for fifth through eighth grade girls from Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical housing ministry. Using donated supplies and volunteer labor, the Habitat seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

Founded in 1985, Merrimack Valley Habitat has built 64 homes and rehabbed 7 homes in Lawrence and surrounding communities for people in need of safe, decent, affordable housing. These homes are sold at cost and with no-interest mortgages to low-income families who spend hundreds of hours helping to build their own or another Habitat house.

Family Service, Inc. is a non-profit social service agency located in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Originally established in 1854 as a relief society for the area’s newly arriving immigrant mill workers, Family Service has grown in recent years from a small mental health clinic (c.1985) to a large and dynamic organization providing over 20 programs and services.

Family Service believes that every person’s emotional health and wellbeing is most influenced by the group of people that they call “family”. To achieve our mission and strengthen families, we provide a broad range of treatment and prevention programs that meet the unique needs of each member of a family.

By working with individual people to be part of a strong, stable family, we strengthen the community as a whole.
